As I started diving into the personal development world, I kept seeing this bright yellow book everywhere I looked. One day I was feeling rather down and defeated about where I was in life. I was still in my full-time corporate job but knew I needed to start moving forward towards something else. Nothing was panning out — none of the jobs in my area sounded right, and the few jobs I did apply for kept falling through. Wendy Harris has been both praised and attacked for her one woman stand for Black Lives Matter in Monmouth. Wendy Harris was so furious about the death of George Floyd in America that she stood in Monmouth town centre with a home-made cardboard sign saying 'Black-Lives Matter. But a local businessman saw her lonely stand from a window overlooking Agincourt Square and put her photograph on a social media site. Over the next week a handful of others joined her daily protest under the statues of Monmouth's most famous sons, Charles Rolls and King Henry V. And on Sunday, the day of a rally in the town, the year-old made front page on Reddit as people shared the image and praised her one woman stance. I want them to remember me as a badass gran who tried to change things. The protest was a spontaneous gesture but somebody took a photograph and put it on a social media site. The next thing I knew my grandchildren were telling me I was on Reddit.
